Refresher Course for Medical Transcription

by Rachel on September 13, 2010

Have you ever thought about a brush-up or refresher course for your medical transcription, but really did not want to spend any money on an actual course?

You may have been out of medical transcription for a while and then gotten back to the job again, you may move to another pool or facility, or you might just want to refresh your memory on some things.

Go to the library in the kids section and check out their books for the body systems – cardio, digestive, musculoskeletal, neurological, etc.  Read each of those that are about 32 pages each. Believe me when I say it really does do the trick.

A couple sites I have heard of that are good for this same purpose is WebMD and Gray’s Anatomy.

Any other suggestions from anyone?

That is a great idea!!!! I would also suggest getting some good books such as: Medical Transcription Techniques and Procedures. Also, get the new AHDI Book of Style.

They should help you brush up your MT and you will see that it will all come back to you. Good luck!!!
