You now have a place to go to get answers to questions like these. You can share your resources and references with other MTs, and request information that you need to make your job easier.
If you are like many of us, you are often looking for ways to improve your productivity by researching information and creating cheat sheets. For example, if you need a list of medical abbreviations and acronyms for the specialty you are typing for, why not ask Medical Transcription Help Desk because chances are someone here has already put that list together. If we don’t have it, we will find it for you.
If you are a student, maybe you need someone to bounce your answer off of. We are not suggesting that we are going to do your course work for you, but sometimes there may not be anyone around to ask a quick question of.
If you are looking for the companies that are hiring, you may want to get in the graduate group we have through the membership. If you are employed but want a change, we can help with that too. There are companies hiring out there that pay more, have better benefits, and are just easier to work for.
Maybe you are looking for information on how to become a medical transcriptionist. We have many MTs that will give you information on the courses they took and how they worked and how they got a job, etc.
Research takes a lot of time. Our goal is to share everything we have compiled to this point with anyone that has the need for that information. More than that, we see this site as a place where all medical transcriptionists can come together as a small community and share their references and resources as well.
Let this site take the time element out of the research for you. Place us in your Favorites and visit often. Check out the membership for a minimal monthly fee and join the MT Help Desk community.
